2023 ഏപ്രിൽ 01 ന് സമാപിക്കുന്ന കുടുംബശ്രീയും സ്പോർട്സ് കേരള ഫൗണ്ടേഷനും ചേർന്ന് നടത്തുന്ന സ്വയം പ്രതിരോധ പരിശീലനത്തിന്ടെ പേര് - ധീരംKudumbashree, the Kerala State Poverty Eradication Mission was launched at Malappuram on 17th May 1998 and inaugurated by the Prime Minister, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. 28 Kudumbashree women are Dheeram karate master trainers. They completed a 25-day residential training on March 31, 2023. Dheeram is the name of self-defense training organized by Kudumbashree and Sports Kerala Foundation.

Noted novelist and short story writer Sarah Thomas has died aged 88. The end came at her residence in Thiruvananthapuram. She won the Kerala Sahitya Akademi awards in 1979 for her novel 'Narmadipudava' and in 2010 for overall contribution to Malayalam literature.5

Lashinda Demus, a runner from the United States, has been awarded an Olympic gold medal at the age of 40, more than a decade after the 2012 London Games. This came after the International Olympic Committee stripped Natalya Antyukh, the original gold medalist in the 400-meter hurdles, of her title due to her involvement in the Russian doping scandal.
