1. The average age of husband and his wife was 23 years at the time of their marriage. After 5 years they have a one year old child. The average age of the family now:

Sum of ages of husband and wife = 23x2=46
After 5 years, sum of ages of husband and wife = 46+10=56

90/100 x 90/100 x 100 = 81

3. 10% of x is 25% of y then x:y is:

Let radius be r, Perimeter = 2πr
If radius increased 50%, r + r/2 = 3r/2

9. A man spends 89% of his monthly income. If he saves Rs. 2244 per month. What is his monthly income

Savings = 100-89=11% = 2244
Salary = 224/11 x 100 = 20400

10. A student has to secure 35% marks to pass the exam. If he get 100 marks and fails by 40 marks. The maximum marks.

Maximum marks = 100(100+40)/35
100x140/35 = 100x4=400
