Kerala PSC - Atal Jan Ahar Yojna

Delhi government has started a scheme Atal Jan Ahar Yojna to provide Nutritious food to the people in need in phase wise manner. SMDC launched this scheme which will provide lunch meals at just Rs. 10, which can be taken at the booths of the civic bodies from 11 am to 2 pm.

The State Government has launched this scheme on the birth anniversary of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee, it will cover people from the various walks of life like autoricksaw drivers, street vendors, richshaw pullers, corporate officials, call center employees and all other hungry people.

The lunch provided under this scheme includes Puri, Chapattis, Rice, Vegetables, Halwa, Rajma, and Chhole. SMDC will provide these subsidised lunches to all the poor sections of society mainly aimed at poor people. Additionally government has promised to give special attention to the quality of the food.

BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi came for the inauguration function told that the quality of food offered here is very good. Besides Green Park, The SMDC launched the Yojana at four other places in the capital - Okhla, Mandi, Matiala Chowk, GHode wala Mandir in Raghubir Nagar and Kakraula more. This scheme is launched as the Piolet Project. SMDC will extend this scheme is the phase wise manner for this it will open more centre to cover dinner and breakfast as well.
