Linda was crowned Miss World at the Miss World pageant hosted in London, UK on November 17, 1988. She was also named Miss Iceland. She owned a spa named Baðhúsið for more than 20 years. Unfortunately, it was shut down in 2014. She published her autobiography, Linda – ljós & skuggar, in 2003.
